Presenting mirror information in a car to enhance safe driving

13 March 2015

The purpose of the study is to understand how drivers in the UK use mirrors to assess the traffic situation and how drivers estimate speed and distance to other cars. The information is then applied to the development of new technologies, like eMirrors, to support drivers in safe driving. eMirrors are camera based mirror information that is presented on a display inside the car.
I ask for your experience to understand how UK drivers use mirrors to assess the traffic situation.
